Job Title: Proposal Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Proposal Engineer to join our team. This role involves gathering and synthesizing information to develop accurate and comprehensive quotes based on inputs from the sales team. You will work closely with various departments including mechanical, design, and controls, utilizing historical quotes to aid in this process. Typically, quotes are assigned individually and may take approximately a week to complete, depending on their complexity and size. Support from a team member will be available as you acclimate to the role. Your involvement post-award of the project will be limited.
Responsibilities
Process customer RFQs by providing quotations and pricing breakdowns to the Account Managers.
Take quote lineups from Account Managers or directly from customers.
Collaborate with Account Managers to determine machine layouts and concepts.
Obtain component pricing and quotes from vendors.
Provide detailed pricing breakdowns for all quotes, including labor and material costs.
Handle customer-specific pricing breakdowns when required.
Process any follow-up information requested by Account Managers.
Maintain a pricing reference guide for purchased components.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Application Engineer, or Estimating Engineer.
5+ years of experience with powertrain assembly equipment, powertrain test equipment, or general assembly equipment.
5+ years of experience managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $62.00/hr.
