Job Summary

The General Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of general ledger accounts, and supporting business operations through detailed financial analysis and account management. This position requires a highly organized and analytical individual who can manage daily accounting operations, support monthly closings, and provide meaningful financial insights. The General Accountant works closely with the CFO and Assistant Controller and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts, including journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Process daily transactions including customer invoicing, cash receipts, and collections.
• Coordinate the month-end close schedule to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
• Analyze and reconcile order, sales, and cost data to validate financial performance.
• Prepare management reports, including account analysis, sales reports, and operational metrics.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset System, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
• Perform credit analysis and establish new customer accounts, maintaining data accuracy in the ERP system.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and supporting requests.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial integration of business activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
