Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Detroit Field Office, located in Port Huron, MI. Responsibilities This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to CBP management. This position starts at a salary of $55,107.00 (GS-07, Step 01) to $87,627.00 (GS-09, Step 10). Qualifications Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting with planning to gather and interpret information and data for problems Assisting with identifying ways to improve or enhance current services Participating in analyzing the effects of changes in law and regulations as they pertain to management services Assisting with reconciling conflicting incomplete information Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting senior specialists in analyzing programs to measure performance and efficiency Determining the most effective technical approaches to the problem using standard regulations and procedures Analyzing workflow and office procedures, problem solving Advising staff on methods and procedures NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
