Summary: In this position the person is responsible for developing Process times for precision machining. Must be able to work with, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Sales and have a full understanding of general machining practices. Must have hands on experience with all aspects of metal removal and different material types including steel alloys, aluminum, armor, stainless. Must understand different machinery types; including vertical and horizontal mills, CNC turning lathes, gear hobbing, honing, broaching and Blanchard grinding. Should have some knowledge of induction heat treating, gear grinding, deburring, shot blasting, and shot peening, seals, gaskets, bearings, expendable & returnable packaging, washing, painting and assembly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Must be able to read blue prints, understand GD&T and develop a manufacturing process.
Develop machining cycle times for new jobs. Must be familiar with CNC Lathes and Mills
Must be able to correctly identify, in order, all machining processes (Including outside Vendor Services) (heat treat, blasting, water jet, laser, stampings, Paint...)
Work with manufacturing to confirm set up times, tooling requirements and inspection methods
Contact supply base for outside processing quotes, including raw material (Castings, Forging, etc.)
Understand general accounting methods in costing out projects along with working knowledge of Microsoft excel
Must be able to present findings to Management

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
