Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will provide technical support and service to customers throughout the complete life cycle of a machine. You will be responsible for directing and assisting customer personnel in the installation, start-up, and training of machines and systems. Additionally, you will provide technical service support when machines are not performing as required, instruct customer personnel on safe and efficient machine operation, and recommend spare parts to ensure optimal machine performance.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and service to customers throughout the machine's life cycle.
Direct and assist in the installation, start-up, and training of machines and systems.
Provide technical service support when machines are not performing as required.
Instruct customer personnel in the safe and efficient operation of machines and systems.
Recommend spare parts for customers to maintain adequate inventory.
Update the Engineering Department on changes made to machines in the field.
Suggest improvements to enhance machine reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Participate in the final checkout of machines to ensure readiness for shipment.
Support the Engineering Department with retrofit concept and design.
Assist in writing the first level of customer training manuals.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in a Maintenance or Machine Build role with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of PLC/servo systems and troubleshooting capabilities.
Professionalism in customer service, communication, attitude, and image.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine building.
Skills in PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
Field service experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Non-exempt
Bi-weekly pay (every other Friday)
Traveling position (home on weekends)
3 weeks PTO

Performance incentive ($50 per machine) - paid out quarterly
