Tiberina Detroit, Inc. seeks Maintenance and Operations Manager for Detroit, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead maintenance and production operations of organization facilities, procedures, machinery and personnel, including a team of engineers and analysts.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout according to company standards.
- Ensure product and process quality through continuous improvement projects.
- Review and determine the correct approach to all assets and Key Performance Indicators, including DME, OEE, MTTR, MTBF, and collect and analyze trends to ensure constant improvement of DME, OEE, MTTR and MTBF.
- Oversee the production operating cycle by managing the production schedule, overseeing floor operations, and ensuring quantitative and qualitative production levels meet customer requirements.
- Ensure an adequate warehouse stock of required replacement parts in accordance with internal forecasts and customer requirements and avoid wasteful overstocks.
- Oversee plant resources and ensure the effective distribution of resources within the plant in line with production and plant needs.
- Prioritize tasks among team members, establish deadlines, and otherwise ensure successful time management of resources under his/her direction.
- Oversee plant maintenance and production budgets, track costs and revenue, and forecast future maintenance and production costs to make sound decisions regarding cash flow and assist finance professionals in preparing financial reports.
- Research, design, modify and test manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure continuous improvement and maximum efficiency.
- Effectively utilize planning tools and software, such as NAV, to manage and streamline operations.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or closely related field. Five years of progressively responsible experience in a maintenance/operations leadership role in the automotive production manufacturing industry. Experience must include:
- Using Fanuc Robotics in a welding production environment
- Proven ability to perform programming, installation, maintenance and advanced electrical troubleshooting of robotics and electrical components of relevant industry equipment, including electrical cabinets, welders, robotic grippers, turning tables and conveyors, dispensing systems, electrical inverters and controllers
- Using MS Navision (NAV) software to develop spreadsheets for OEE and production efficiency analysis
- Using KPIs, including DME, OEE, MTTR, and MTBF, to detect production trends and implement improvements
- Knowledge of automotive product design, fabrication, and welding robotic production optimization
- Business finance proficiency in tracking costs and revenue, making maintenance and production cost forecasts, and assisting finance professionals in preparing and filing financial reports
- Leading a team of engineers and/or technicians in an automotive production manufacturing environment, and prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, and allocating resources
Position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to support and train personnel in other facilities in Europe, South America and North America
