Job Title: Powder Coater
Job Description
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for painting and using powder operations to properly prepare components, including sub-assemblies and other related parts, to contribute to the completion of various products. You must adhere to quality and quantity standards while following directions to meet part specifications.
Responsibilities
Prepare and paint components using powder operations.
Ensure adherence to quality and quantity standards.
Follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Participate in cross-training and teamwork activities.
Identify and report any safety or quality issues.
Learn new processes, systems, and equipment.
Perform documentation, team activities, and basic preventative maintenance.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.
Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English.
Attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety-related practices.
Ability to lift and carry 10-50 lbs. frequently, and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Stamina for repetitive tasks and physical demands such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and standing.
Coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Cognitive abilities such as visual and auditory discrimination, memory, and independent decision-making.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with powder coating, painting, and paint preparation.
Ability to work in a diverse setting and participate in conflict resolution.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to loud noises and requires the operation of machinery. You will need to wear safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection in designated areas, and proper respirators in the paint booth area.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
