Description
Robert Half is partnering with one of their clients on their recruitment efforts to find a full-time, direct hire, experienced Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.
Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data.
Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are finalized.
Review financial documents for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting practices.
Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field required
Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Familiarity with accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvement.
