Northern Michigan Engineering is currently looking for a Land Survey Technician. The position requires field work and minimal office work.
Job duties include but not limited to assisting field work with general survey duties and data collection.
- Operate surveying instruments including GPS equipment and data collectors
- Set Up and maintain survey equipment
- Transport equipment safely to and from job sites
- Record field measurements and maintain detailed field notes
- Perform basic calculations and verify data accuracy
- Communicate with survey crew members
Land Survey experience preferred but not required, Training Provided.
High School Diploma or GED and Valid Drivers License Required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions on uneven terrain
- Physical ability to lift, carry and set up equipment weighting up to 50 pounds
- Operate survey equipment, including GPS unites and data collectors
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear
The base salary for this role is competitive with a range of $18-23 hourly determined by experience, education and skills. Priority Health Medical Insurance Available.
