The City of Ionia Dial-A-Ride is seeking qualified applicants for multiple I-Go Public Transportation Driver psotions. This position is part-time with the potential of full-time.
Duties include operating a modified minivan, rider interaction, performing daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections, collection of fares, record keeping on a tablet, operating a lift, mobility device securement, monitoring the activity and safety onboard the vehicle, two-way radio communication with dispatch and other drivers, and other duties as assigned.
Position reports to the Director of Transportation. Requires graduation from high school or an equivalent, possession of a Chauffer's Driver's License at minimum, good driving record, and completion of a pre-employment drug test. Minimum of one year of driving experience preferred.
Proficiency with computers preferred.
Starting wage: $16.59 – 19.31/hr. depending on experience.
In addition, appointment to this position on a permanent basis is contingent upon successful completion of the required probationary period.
