Position Title: Religion Teacher
Employment Status: Full-time, school year
Reports to: Principal
Hour of Work: Approximately 7:15-2:45, hours may vary
Starting Hourly Wage: $17.25
Father Marquette Catholic Academy is looking for a religion teacher for students in grades K-8 who will support the principal in ensuring that FMCA has an organized faith formation plan for the year. The school offers an excellent Catholic classical education for students in PreK through grade 8. We are looking for a teacher to instill Catholic values in each of our students while delivering instruction in a caring and nurturing environment.
Essential Functions:
? Teach kindergarten through 8th-grade religion classes.
? Serve as a recess supervisor.
? Assist in coordinating school Masses.
? Serve on the Catholic Identity Committee.
? Coordinate various prayer services, faith-based activities, and service projects throughout the year, such as a living Rosary, Advent caroling at the nursing homes, and adoration time.
? Make sure the local priests, deacons, and religious know about and are invited to join school events, and are invited to join religion classes regularly.
? Perform other related duties as needed.

? Have an active and deep faith.
? Have a sincere desire to share faith and evangelize.
? Fully participate in the communal worship and life of the Church.
? Have a solid, well-rounded knowledge and understanding of Catholic teaching.
? Have good interpersonal skills and rapport with children.
? Having experience or training in the field of education is preferred.
? Have the ability to perform tasks within established timelines.
