Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk in FLINT, Michigan. In this role, you will be primarily working with health information management, which includes collecting, tracking, and reconciling patient medical record information from various departments. You will also serve as an information resource, responding to requests for general and medical record information.
Responsibilities:
Accurately collect, track, and reconcile patient medical record information from various departments post the patient's discharge.
Prep, assemble, scan, index, and file records for document storage and/or imaging, following facility guidelines.
Analyze patient charts for physician deficiencies according to facility guidelines/bylaws and assist with physician chart completion and suspension processes.
Access and manage the EMR (electronic medical records) system to support record completion, coding, and the release of information.
Perform data collection and submission of information for birth certificate filing.
Communicate with Providers regarding their incomplete records and assist in the distribution of reports, letters, and statistics related to delinquent medical records.
Work collaboratively with other departments as needed.
Utilize skills in Adobe Acrobat, Allscripts, Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Care Compass, Cerner Technologies, Answering Inbound Calls, Billing Functions, Charts - Graphs, Claim Administration, Clinical Trial Operations for efficient task completion. Requirements - Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat for document management and editing tasks.
Familiarity with Allscripts, a healthcare information technology solutions platform, is required.
Ability to utilize Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) effectively.
Experience with Care Compass, a patient care coordination tool, is essential.
Working knowledge of Cerner Technologies, a healthcare IT platform, is necessary.
Capable of answering inbound calls efficiently and professionally.
Demonstrated experience in billing functions within a healthcare setting.
Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for data analysis purposes.
Experience in claim administration, including processing, tracking, and management.
Familiarity with Clinical Trial Operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring activities. TalentMatch®
