Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry located in Detroit, Michigan. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be expected to handle a range of tasks related to customer invoices, tracking, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and review customer invoices.
Keep up-to-date and well-organized customer invoice files.
Track invoices and maintain reports for year-end closing activities.
Generate quarterly reports and manage monthly accruals report for operational work order tracking.
Utilize QuickBooks for various accounts receivable tasks.
Perform data entry tasks as required.
Use Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Handle accruals related to accounts receivable and year-end closings. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar financial role
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a must
Strong data entry skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with Year End Closings and related financial procedures
Experience with Accruals and understanding of the accrual accounting method
Knowledge of the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry is preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
