Special Education Teacher Weekly Pay $1645
Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our Amergis team. Under the supervision of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will provide high-quality services to students with special needs from kindergarten through grade 12. This role involves active collaboration in planning and implementing student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and coordination with general education staff.
35 hour work week
Weekly Pay $1645
Potential to lead into next school year 25-26
Key Responsibilities:
Provide customized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
Work closely with general education staff to support student achievement.
Offer tutorial assistance and personalized support.
Participate in team planning and program implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).
State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following areas:
Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred).
Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred).
Standard Special Teaching (preferred).
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred).
Current CPR certification (if applicable).
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years old.
