(Job Description)
Agricultural package manufacturing machinery company in WA is currently hiring for a Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager. This company is looking to expand their sales territories to the untapped CA, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI markets for in-house packaging solutions + packaging machine selling. This role will involve a lot of lead generation and will be a ground-up for new prospects and new clients in those territories.
Pay - $80k/yr. - $120k/yr. (depending on relevant industry experience, technical knowledge, job title, tenure, software...etc.)
At this time, there is no set commission or bonus structure set with this team, but they're certainly open to exploring that option down the road
Location - Fully Remote + Travel To Territories in CA, Chicago, IL, and/or Detroit, MI
(Responsibilities)
Will be responsible for generating leads for untapped territories using 3rd party and outside resources.
Engage in the agricultural package manufacturing machinery selling to manufacturing companies and offer solutions for machine add-ons.
Travel to untapped territories to establish in-person meetings and sell-over opportunities.
(Qualification Requirements)
Previous packaging machinery company experience in sales (Preferred)
No packaging company experience but machine selling experience, open to 3-5+ years of experience..
High preference for someone who has technical knowledge of packaging machines (i.e., 4080, 240V, and/or CAD knowledge).
Ability to generate leads in new untapped markets.
The company currently utilizes NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, and Concur and able to coach and train on usage.
Comfortabiltiy conducting many cold reach-outs for new market for business development.

No packaging machinery company experience or machine selling experience.
Not comfortable with travel.
Not enough technical knowledge.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
