Primary Purpose of Position
To work within the Tooling Department to efficiently and effectively support the general needs and duties of the department.
Major Responsibilities of Position
- Every employee has the responsibility to comply with all safety rules, quality procedures and processes established by MPA
- Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing electrical systems and components.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians to plan and execute repairs and installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during all work activities.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Work all necessary overtime when scheduled.
- Have the desire to continuously improve and advance within the company.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Personal Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes):
- Valid electrician's license and certification in the relevant field.
- Proven experience working as a manufacturing electrician or in a similar role. Up to 480 VAC 3 Phase.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing electrical systems and components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the automotive industry.
Physical demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, grasp and lift – occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally climb and carry up to 40 pounds
- Visual requirements include; ability to visually inspect work performed, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to drive/operate forklift
- Must have the ability to perform the above requirements for a minimum of 8 hours daily
Work Environment
- Automotive manufacturing environment; shift work, i.e., five-eight-hour shifts for 40 regular hours per week with overtime as required.
- Shop Environment: 75% of the time, includes exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions; standard tools available
- Production Environment: 25% of the time, includes exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions. Extreme temperatures during the summer and winter months can be expected
