Etna Supply is hiring a Help Desk Intern!

This role is a great fit for college students studying Information Technology or a related field who are ready to jump in, learn, and make a difference from the start. Not enrolled in a program but have some tech experience and a strong willingness to learn? We’d still love to connect with you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 1 support via ticketing system and phone
• Image and deploy computers using WDS
• Assist with user setup, migrations, and onboarding
• Install and troubleshoot printers, software, and hardware
• Maintain inventory of internal IT assets
• Troubleshoot issues related to networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.)
• Follow up on support requests and ensure timely resolution
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of IT-related experience or training preferred
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Comfortable working with PC hardware, printers, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs. regularly (occasionally up to 50 lbs.)

Additional Information:

• This is an on-site position. Remote work is not available.
• Must be able to travel within 3 hours of Grand Rapids for same-day assignments
• Internship includes exposure to a professional IT environment and opportunities for mentorship
• Average of 20 to 24 hours per week
• Schedule and hours can be flexible based on availability
