The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the effective manufacturing engineering and build leadership of FANUC America product assembly processes and system projects from the initial plan through final shipment to the customer. This position will report to the Manager of Engineering Services in the Paint Sealer Systems group. Primary responsibilities will include:
Create and provide control plans, build plans, quality control documents, safety requirements, protective personal equipment and packaging/shipment plan per quality process.
Estimate labor, design, build, and engineering's needs for projects.
Schedule and conduct manufacturing review meetings to maintain the project's schedule.
Manage project execution with Project Management to project budget and schedule.
Follow up on designs and material to ensure quality and adherence to delivery schedule is maintained.
Interface with purchasing regarding supplier/component selection and initiate purchase requisitions.
Coordinate validation testing of product and system to design requirements.
Review deliverables prior to shipment for on-time, complete and accurate delivery to customer.
Manage customers supplied items to quality process and customer requirements.
Maintain a professional level of project/engineering document control per quality procedures.
Act as a liaison between FANUC America Project Manager, Engineers, Vendors, Customers, and Manufacturing to execute project to plan.
Provide feedback to Manufacturing Manager/Supervisors regarding technician productivity, capabilities, and anticipated problems.
Manage issues and problem-solving using quality processes and procedures.
Provide weekly/daily project updates to project team and management.
Propose and justify tooling and equipment to improve quality and cost down manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
Minimum three years of industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics or industrial automation preferred.
Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems and their application in operational processes.
Proficiency in utilizing and managing Resource Planning Systems to optimize workflows
