Teachers First is seeking a Founding School Leader for The Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw (GATA), a brand-new PreK-8 public charter school. GATA is in its planning phase, and we are requesting start up in fall 2026.
We are excited about this new educational facility and seeking a visionary Founding School Leader to help build and launch a dynamic, student-centered learning environment rooted in innovation, gaming, and technology.
Start Date: July 1, 2025
Location: Saginaw, MI
Part-Time (Year 1) → Full-Time (Year 2)
What We Offer:
- Year 1 (Part-Time): $25/hour, flexible schedule-ideal for current educators with existing commitments to attend strategic thinking and planning meetings and work on jointly established goals and deliverables with Teachers First.
- Year 2 (Full-Time beginning July 1, 2026): Competitive salary $85,000-$105,000, based on experience, credentials, enrollment, and Year 1 milestones. Focus on preparing staff, resources, and welcoming students for a strong start on the first day of school.

What We're Looking For:
- A passionate, self-driven educator and leader
- Experience in school leadership, start-ups, or innovative learning models
- Strong ability to recruit students as well as build teams, systems, and culture from scratch
- Michigan administrator certification (or ability to obtain)
