DUTIES: Develop, test, and validate vehicle-based calibrations that achieve world-class torque security performance for hybrid and fully electric propulsion systems. Establish motor control technical best practices and report generation to communicate and guide technical strategies to immediate and/or surrounding engineering teams. Plan, generate, and verify feature calibrations for environmental and driver use case scenarios in accordance with powertrain system functional objectives. Manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of propulsion system (e-motor, engine, energy storage system) data to analyze and solve complex system problems associated with functional safety and motor performance. Support system integration goals that achieve engine performance, fuel consumption, emissions, OBD, and base engine calibration development targets. Work cross functionally with motor, hybrid controller, engine development, powertrain controls and vehicle teams to identify and implement calibration solutions that meet or exceed program requirements. Position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
