About the Role: 3rd Shift Team Leader
As a 3rd Shift Team Leader, you'll oversee a production team of 15-20 people. Your mission: drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery through positive leadership, coaching, and continuous training. You’ll be a hands-on problem solver, ensuring smooth operations and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Production Operations
- Execute production plans and ensure daily standard work compliance
- Manage schedules and staffing for optimal productivity
- Uphold safety and housekeeping standards
- Problem-Solving & Improvement
- Research and resolve production challenges (downtime, scrap, etc.)
- Collaborate to address customer quality concerns and improve key metrics
- Identify and recommend opportunities for enhanced processes
- Team Development
- Promote and embody KAM’s values: Work-Life Balance, Integrity, Partnership, and Service
- Facilitate shift huddles to communicate priorities and updates
- Foster a positive, productive team culture
- Coach and motivate team members, conducting regular performance reviews
Qualifications:
- 2+ years leading a production team
- Experience with plastic injection molding preferred, but not required
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to participatory leadership and team development
