Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Lead to develop, manage, and execute New Equipment Training (NET) for operators and maintainers for various advanced defense programs. This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering Training Support Packages (TSPs) in accordance with TRADOC regulations, and Army Training Doctrine (e.g., TR 350-70, TR 350-1), requirements. The Training Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that soldiers, American Rheinmetall Employees, and various defense customers receive high-quality, standards-compliant training to effectively operate and maintain the new vehicle systems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Key Responsibilities
Training Development & Management:
- Develop, manage, and maintain Training Support Packages for various defense programs
- Collaborate with Engineers, Integrated Product Support (IPS) teams, and government stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, up to date, aligned with vehicle design, and meets contract requirements.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to determine gaps and tailor training materials for operator and maintainer roles.
Training Execution & Delivery:
- Conduct instructor-led, hands-on, and field-based training at government test sites, military installations, and customer-designated facilities.
- Utilize the ADDIE instructional design model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) to ensure high-quality instructional delivery
- Administer and evaluate practical exercises, knowledge assessments, and performance-based evaluations to ensure soldiers meet proficiency requirements
- Train and mentor additional instructors to support large-scale training events
Training Execution & Delivery:
- Ensure all training activities comply with TRADOC guidelines, Army Training and Doctrine standards, Army Regulation (AR) 350-1 and contract requirements
- Work with Government stakeholders, PMs, and Test & Evaluation teams to align training delivery with system fielding schedules
- Provide input on Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) for effective operator and maintainer training
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This is a supervisory position that will have direct report
- This position will have supervisor responsibility over sub-contractors or vendors
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in training & development, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- 5+ years of experience developing and executing military training programs, preferably for combat vehicle systems.
- Experience delivering operator and maintainer training for U.S. Army platforms, preferably within a Program of Record (PoR) or TRADOC-certified training environment.
- Strong understanding of TRADOC policies, Army Learning Model (ALM), and Army Learning Management System (ALMS).
- U.S. military experience (preferred: MOS in maintenance, operations, or training development related to combat vehicles).
- Must be a qualified US Army Curriculum developer.
- Must be certified on and be able to teach, train instructors and evaluate instructors using US Army format and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting New Equipment Training (NET) or Sustainment Training (ST).
- TRADOC-certified Instructor or Master Instructor certification.
- Experience with CBT (Computer-Based Training), IMI development, and Virtual Training Environments.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-29612 (Training Data Products), DA PAM 350-70 series, and JCIDS training requirements.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
