Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI on a full-time basis.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
The Role
The ideal candidate will possess skill sets in several of the following functions: Strong mechanical aptitude, considerable experience/knowledge of automotive or aeronautical fabrication processes, tools, methods, and quality expectations. Able to provide guidance/assistance to team members as necessary. Must demonstrate ability to work through critical and/or multiple issues through past work experience. Verbal and written communication skills must be suitable for interaction with peers and onsite management. We are seeking talented and creative individuals to join our team. What You will Do
Ensure a "Safety first" operational environment and lead corporate safety initiatives.
Achieve operational excellence by meeting performance milestones & metrics.
Support Continuous Improvement throughout the facility.
Fabricate low volume components using standard fabrication methods: Hydraulic Brake Press, Mill, Lathe, etc....
Create Certified Weld Assemblies from subcomponents up to total vehicle assembly.
Vehicle level General Assembly with an elevated level of diligence and refinement.
Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot issues during fabrication and general assembly.
Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
Creative in solving project issues and comprehension of root cause analysis and problem-solving tools
Ability to engage multiple issues and achieve results with little or no supervision.
Ability to work cohesively within a team setting.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required qualifications)
5+ years of automotive, aerospace, or industrial fabrication, welding, and assembly.
3+ years of automotive or aerospace welding background with an AWS D1.1 Certification or ability to obtain the certification.
HS diploma with relevant work experience, technical course work/training/ or professional certifications
U.S. citizenship needed to obtain required U.S. Security Clearance

Associate degree in a job-related field or Trade School Certification
3+ years within a parts fabrication environment
3+ years of low volume prototype vehicle builds.
3+ years of automotive or aeronautical assembly, or component processing
Working knowledge of TeamCenter, NX, & Vis Mockup
Experience using or working with Hexagon Scanning systems and PolyWorks Software
Understanding of Microsoft Suite of Software, Word, Excel, Teams, MS Project
Certified Welder or Inspector
Currently holds or has held a U.S. Security Clearance
Past military experience
Portfolio or pictures to showcase skills and experience
