The Supply Chain Inbound Logistics Network Engineer. is responsible for designing and optimizing the North America (NA) inbound logistics network for new vehicle and powertrain launches. The selected candidate will lead inbound logistics on all aspects of NA cost studies for a number of future programs. This person will design the optimal NA Inbound Distribution network in conjunction with Material Handling Engineering and Purchasing.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Laser like focus on total landed cost and balancing delivery frequency with assembly plant inventory targets
Ability to consolidate, analyze and communicate projected vehicle inbound logistics costs
Leadership to manage a 3rd party logistics provider to meet objectives in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor in business administration with a focus on supply chain management, operations management, or related field
5+ years' experience in automotive or similar industry
Cross-functional experience in supply chain management disciplines
Prior experience interacting with multi-disciplinary and operational teams
Organized, good planner, independent, detail oriented
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Finance knowledge
Logistics Network Modeling experience
