Millwright/Machine Repair
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Millwright/Machine Repair to be based out of Wayne, MI. Position 1st Shift (M-F, 7:00AM-3:00PM) The Hourly wage rate ranges from $37.55 - $39.62 (Journeyman Millwright). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery to support facility operations.
What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Install, maintain, modify, and repair all mechanical systems and associated equipment
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of mechanical systems, including: pumps, valves, and associated piping; mechanical power presses and associated support equipment; and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Utilize blueprints and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projects
Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
Must maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demand
Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc.
Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including: Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily
Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas
What you'll bring:
High School Diploma/GED
Journeyman classification preferred
One year of manufacturing experience preferred
Basic math and verbal skills
Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery
Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends
