Job Description Position Overview: This is a shared driver position between the agronomy and energy divisions. The key energy responsibilities of this position are delivery of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery. May include tank setting and service. The key agronomy responsibilities of this position include assisting in the mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting of crop protection and fertilizer products and overall maintenance of the equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to Energy: * Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner. * During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries. * Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls). * Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures and operate truck in accordance with established safety procedures. * Perform installation, removal, and service as needed and backup energy department team members as needed. Agronomy: * Assist in the mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting of crop protection and fertilizer products within the agronomy division. * Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE) in handling and applying products. * Performs daily inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment prior to field applications and post application inspections. * Assist other team members in various physical duties necessary in running an agricultural location. May include operational scouting, product transportation, and various services for customers. Skills and Qualifications: * Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement, or ability to obtain * Mechanical knowledge * Obtain and maintain required IDEM Certifications which may include: CETP Basic Principles and Practices 1.0, CTEP Vapor Distribution Systems 4.1, CETP Bobtail Delivery 2.1 and 2.2, PREC Crane Operator Training General Industry (Suggested), PERC Cathodic Protection for Tanks and Piping (Suggested), IPGA 2- and 5-Pound Systems, Liquid Piping and Vaporizers (Suggested) * Proficient verbal and written communication skills * Detail oriented and ability to prioritize * Ability to work independently Education: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
