Description
Our trusted client is seeking a Procurement Manager Consultant for a long-term engagement. This position provides the unique opportunity to work with different levels of the company and participate in strategic meetings. This hybrid role is located in Auburn Hills.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
Conducting sourcing activities and executing strategies effectively.
Gathering and analyzing data to support business decisions.
Conducting external research to identify potential suppliers and procurement opportunities.
Managing the procurement process, ensuring all procedures are followed.
Participating in meetings, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Maintaining a strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics.
Adapting to changes in the industry and modifying procurement strategies accordingly.
Liaising with various departments to determine their supply needs and manage the procurement process.
Utilizing knowledge of government procurement processes and requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or related role
Proven skills and experience in Corporate Procurement
Knowledge and expertise in Global Procurement practices
Strong skills in Sourcing and negotiation
Comprehensive understanding of Global Supply Chain management
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
High ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information.
