Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in SOUTHGATE, Michigan. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, utilizing your accounting expertise in various aspects of financial management.
Responsibilities:
Handle complex accounts receivables, billing, and collections.
Oversee cash management operations.
Maintain and manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Ensure accurate and efficient processing of payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
Conduct bank reconciliations on multiple accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries with precision.
Generate various reports including but not limited to billing reports, accounts receivable aging, sales reports, and accounts payable reports.
Prepare tax returns such as sales tax returns and property tax returns.
Utilize Sage Accounting for report writing, configuration, and system maintenance.
Manage ADP Payroll/Timekeeping system. Requirements - Candidate must possess strong skills in Processing Payroll, with experience in managing employee compensation.
Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is essential, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial inconsistencies.
Experience with Fixed Assets management is required, including tracking, recording, and depreciation.
Cash Management skills are necessary, with the ability to oversee and regulate the company's financial resources.
Must have substantial experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely management of all AR aging components.
Experience in Billing is crucial, with the ability to prepare, send, and track invoices accurately.
