Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the field of accounting in Rochester Hills, Michigan. We are in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team, who will be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing payroll, and more.
Responsibilities:
Administer payroll through QuickBooks to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Assist with various HR tasks such as the distribution of company policies, conducting background checks, and managing new hires and terminations.
Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to maintain a steady cash flow.
Reconcile bank and other accounts to confirm accuracy of financial records.
Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately consolidated.
Manage account reconciliation processes to maintain balance sheet accuracy.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to keep track of financial data and generate reports.
Shred old employee files as part of record management and privacy protocols.
Independently manage and resolve any issues that arise in the accounting functions. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must for effective data management and analysis.
Comprehensive understanding and application of Accounting Functions are necessary for this role.
Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
Expertise in QuickBooks is essential for efficient bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
Ability to perform Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation to maintain the financial health of the organization.
Skilled in managing Payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all staff.
Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration is needed for managing employee-related issues and tasks.
