This position is a Master licensed electrician completing electrical work for construction and maintenance projects at Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital. Performs the full range of electrical work/duties as required by using independent judgment. Pulls permits, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshoots electrical systems, data systems as well as phone systems. Maintain the hospital's electrical systems in a safe working condition and ensure the environment is safe for patients, employees, and visitors. Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems and generators. Assists other trades and disciplines within the hospital's maintenance department.
This is a Drug and Alcohol-tested (DART) position under the criteria provided in the collective bargaining unit agreement. All positions are subject to criminal background checks and fingerprinting.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Possession of a master electrician's license.
Some positions may require possession of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the Secretary of State as required by Public Act 346 of 1988 to operate a designated state vehicle.
