Position Summary:
Responsible for receiving, shipping and issuing material from inventory racking using mobile picking equipment based on internal demand from assembly and external demand from customers. Aid in material flow and distribution for the facility while supporting departmental goals for safety, quality, cost, delivery and engagement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive stock, ship, and issue material with a high degree of accuracy
Read and complete paperwork in conjunction with the above also with same accuracy
Operate and maintain mobile, mechanical equipment in compliance with MIOSHA standards
Input and retrieve needed information via computer as well as operate digital scales
Read, interpret, audit, and record data on required documentation for quality assurance and invoicing
Maintain a high degree of cleanliness, organization, quality, and safety
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity goals
Use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions about shipping operations within recognized procedures
Ability to determine causes of or investigate operating errors including locating missing inventory
Ability to adhere to structured work guidelines and schedules
Ability to read and follow visual cues
Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and as a team
Demonstration of a strong work ethic and is a self-starter
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated communication skills
Demonstrated computer skills with knowledge of Notes and Microsoft Office Suites
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 45 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally on an average eight-hour shift
Must be able to stand for the majority of an eight-hour shift
Mus be comfortable with heights
Must be able to reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, walk, and carry parts
