Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of the Product Handling Manager, delivers product including securing load, maintains a safe diving record and unloads products at the jobsites. This position provides safe operation of tractor trailer, boom trucks, and flatbed. Responsible for following safety protocols and maintaining safe practices for all activities on the road, jobsite and with team members.
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations.
• Ability to use piggyback lifts (off/on trailer) and ability to stock product as customer requests.
• Obtain fork truck training and piggyback training if currently does not have certificate.
• Provides customer feedback.
• Maintain normal maintenance as directed, cleaning and washing trucks to provide professional image.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Expectations:
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
• Acts in a professional manner with customers and team members.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Acts in a professional manner with customers and team members.
• Knowledgeable in pre-2011 tractors and ability to operate 13 speed vehicles.
• Knowledgeable to operate boom lifts (or ability to learn) how to operate.
• Able to read and decipher a packing slip to verify product on the truck is what is noted on the packing slip for customer.
• Works in a timely fashion and strives for the best route optimization to minimize mileage and time on the road and at the job site.
