Position Summary
This part-time, adjunct position reports to the Chair, Arts and Communication and will be responsible for instruction and delivery according to course outcomes in Communication. The primary location for this role is Kellogg Community College, Fehsenfeld Center, 2950 M-179, Hastings, MI 49058.

Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area and presentation venues. Travel by car required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 - 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and, may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Earned Master's Degree in Communication, OR Master's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Communication from an accredited institution at the time of application; attach unofficial transcript showing coursework completed and degree conferred.
• Teaching experience
• Significant coursework in Communication
• Must be a resident of Michigan or Indiana
Preferred but not Required
• Evidence of community college teaching experience
Proposed Salary
Based on current Board-approved rates.

• Teach college-level Communication courses in accordance with College policies and procedures.
• Teach to departmental syllabus and course outcomes using departmental textbooks and other materials.
• Prepare assignments, tests, and activities as needed per course learning objectives.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse populations.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues.
