Overview:
We're hiring an Account/Customer Service Representative on a contract to hire basis in Marshall, MI to manage customer communication, order processing, continuous improvement initiatives, and proactive customer service, all within a fast-paced environment. This role is 100% onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm.
Essential Functions:
Communication:
Engage directly with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to manage accounts and exceed expectations.
Provide updates on production delays or special concerns.
Relay clear information via phone, email, and written correspondence with a focus on efficiency.
Order Entry/Computer Skills:
Utilize JDE software for processing orders, estimates, and customer profiles.
Manage pricing, shipping dates, and plant determinations.
Process return goods authorizations, credit memos, and debit memos.
Proficient in MS Office, FileMaker, and Windows systems to support reporting and data management.
Customer Service:
Address complex customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries with quick resolution.
Coordinate sample requests, product literature, and production follow-ups.
Represent the company during customer meetings and facility visits.
Continuous Improvement:
Performance Expectations:
Ensure order accuracy and efficient workflow in a dynamic environment.
Meet performance KPIs (e.g., lines per hour/orders per day).
Adhere to guidelines, procedures, and continuous improvement policies.
Skills:
Strong math and technical skills, including proficiency with fractions, percentages, and basic geometry.
Interpret technical documents, journals, and SOPs.
Business-level writing and persuasive communication.
Accurate decision-making based on measurable criteria and data evaluation.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years experience in a Customer Service role
Proficient in using 3M products
Experience with Accounting Software Systems
Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is a must
Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
Proficient in using CRM tools
Experience with About Time software
Understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience with Billing Functions
Familiarity with Budget Processes
Knowledge of Campaign Planning
Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software TalentMatch®
