Our client Is looking for a DataWarehouse Architect.
This position is assigned to support Data Warehouse team in developing reporting, ad-hoc, ETL, and Business Objects reports that are critical to the success of the application. Also, any other projects that need ETL support that add value and end users to get them the data they need for them to be more productive. Candidates with federal background are strongly preferred for the role.
Tasks
- The Data Warehouse Architect will work with client staff and the operational system developers to ensure that the operational system database will support the data needs and the functionality needed to extract the needed data on a regular basis.
- Work to design and load the Data Warehouse database model to support the reporting and analytic needs of the client.
- As the operational project continues, work with the operational contractor staff to make needed changes to the data warehouse that may evolve from the operational system.
- Work closely to ensure that they are fully aware of the decisions and impacts involved in the supporting and/or enhancing the client Data Warehouse models and can support and extend them by the end of the contract.
- Data Warehouse Architects perform application development tasks in support of building business intelligence applications and integrating data warehouse resources into other client applications. In addition, they provide database expertise to other application developers in close collaboration with DBAs and other data management staff.
- Creating data warehouse-based applications including reporting, dashboards and other information analysis, visualizations and delivery systems.
- Extract, transform, and load systems to move data from the various operational systems in which it is collected to a cleansed, consolidated data warehouse.
- Work with data warehouse Federal reporting team members and end user query developers to design and improve database queries.
- Data warehouse Architects are also expected to be able to work with agency requestors to define and develop new queries and provide training and technical support to both developers and end user query developers.
- Working with end user requestors to understand their data needs and create and implement solutions to those needs.
- Develop and present training classes for developers to better understand how to use the Teradata and BI development tools to create and implement reporting solution using the data warehouse.
- Provide one on one support for developers and end users to assist them in accomplishing their federal data reporting needs.
Environment : Teradata Cloud version 17.20, Shared platform with other State of Michigan departments, Business Objects XI 4.2 SP4 on a Windows 2012 virtual platform.
NOTE: Accepting local candidates ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.

Skills Required:
- 3+ years - Experience with Teradata Cloud
- 3+ years - Experience with Business Objects XI and/or Power BI
- 3+ years - Experience performing ETL processes
- Bachelor’s Degree (Please include on your resume)
