We're seeking passionate and dedicated educators to provide instruction for our Art courses at Kellogg Community College. Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area, presentation venues, and could be at one of KCC's regional sites outside of the Battle Creek area. Travel by car may be required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 - 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and, may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Earned Master's degree in Art or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in Art coursework from an accredited institution at the time of application; attach unofficial transcript showing coursework completed and degree conferred.
• Minimum of one year successful teaching experience.
• Experience using instructional technology.
• Must have ability and means to travel among regional work sites.
• Must be a resident of Michigan or Indiana
Preferred but not Required
• Post-secondary face-to-face teaching experience.
• Experience in a community college setting.
Proposed Salary
Based on current Board-approved rate.

Job Duties
Essential Function: INSTRUCTION
Description:
• Provide instruction in Art in a variety of education settings in accordance with College policies and practices.
• Prepare course materials in Art according to accreditation and best practices in collaboration with Art faculty.
• Utilize multiple strategies to facilitate learning while creating effective student assessment. Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment for students.
• Produce timely course materials including a course syllabus and schedule according to College and Department practices.
• Complete required reporting processes such as entering grades, maintain confidentiality procedures and accurate course records.
• Attend Department and College meetings as required.
• Respond to student and College communication in a timely manner.
• Assume teaching assignments at various College locations. Hours and modalities may vary. Collaborate with Department Chair to establish program schedule to meet student needs. Meet according to assigned class schedules.
