Job Title: Electrical Apprentice
Job Description
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced journeymen and foremen to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of tasks, from conduit installation to reading blueprints, ensuring you develop the skills needed to become a proficient electrician.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under the guidance of journeymen and foremen.
Install various types of electrical systems, including switchgear, motor control centers, electrical panels, fire alarms, conveyor systems, lighting fixtures, and power systems.
Install feeder and branch conduit, including EMT, IMC, Rigid PVC, and PVC-coated rigid conduit.
Perform bending, cutting, and threading of conduit in all sizes and types.
Pull branch conduit wire and assist in the installation of underground wiring.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Lift and carry materials on construction sites.
Essential Skills
4000+ logged hours in electrical work.
2+ years of commercial construction experience.
Experience with installing a variety of electrical systems.
Ability to perform bending, cutting, and threading of conduit.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Physical ability to lift and carry materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 Certification.
Apprenticeship Card.

Work Environment
You will work in new construction environments for commercial and industrial new builds in West Michigan. You will be working in groups under the supervision of Journeyman Electricians for training and performing electrical installations. The pay scale is based on hours logged, starting from $19 an hour for 4001 - 5000 hours, up to $22.75 an hour for 7001 - 8000 hours. The shift is first (project-based start time) with 0-5 hours of overtime. Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, gloves, a hi-vis vest, and a hard hat.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.75/hr.
