POSITION PURPOSE
This position performs Teller duties of processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders and traveler’s checks, balancing each day’s transactions, and opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates and assisting members with bookkeeping and account problems. In addition, the position is responsible for maintaining an inventory of cashier’s checks, money orders, receipts, Visa Gift cards, ATM/Debit cards and other negotiable items for use in the Teller area; ensuring that security procedures are followed; cash counting Teller balances; and ordering weekly from the Federal Reserve.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures. Basic understanding of financial institution operations. Understanding of Credit Union philosophy. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
Experience Required: Three to five years prior experience helpful, particularly in a financial institution setting. Completed Member Service Representative Cash training. Symitar/Episys experience is preferred.

Well organized and able to work independently. professional appearance, dress and attitude. Good math skills. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment. Adept at learning new things quickly. Capable of articulating information in different ways.
