Waste Collection and Disposal:
Collects garbage, recycling, and other waste materials from homes, businesses, and other locations.
Loads waste into collection vehicles.
Disposes of waste at landfills or other designated facilities.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Cleans and sanitizes streets, sidewalks, parks, and other public areas.
Performs regular cleaning procedures in facilities or on equipment.
May use specialized equipment like pressure washers or floor scrubbers.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintains sanitation vehicles, equipment, and tools.
May assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks.
Other Duties:
May be required to lift heavy objects.
May assist with other tasks as needed, such as clearing debris or maintaining cleanliness.
Safety:
Follows safety procedures and protocols when handling waste and equipment.
