ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assembles and fits together parts to form a complete assembly or subassembly.
- Calibrates and regulates units and final assemblies to meet operating requirements.
- Uses a variety of shop equipment such as the crane and saws.
- Uses a variety of individually-supplied hand tools such as tape measures, sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- Uses a variety of company-supplied tools such as electric sanders, grinders, drills and other power tools.
Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Cleans work area on a daily basis.
- Ability to cross train in other departments to assist where needed.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer vocational/trade school training. 6 months to 3 years' experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Ability to be trained to operate warehouse equipment such as hand truck.
Ability to pass Hi-Lo Driver Exam and receive a Hi-lo License.
Other Skills and Abilities
Able to assemble basic units.
Possess basic mechanical knowledge and skills.
Ability to use all shop-related equipment and possess a thorough understanding of blueprints.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and direction from manager.
