P.I.E. Management L.L.C., a local staffing company, is hiring for a local municipality’s Parks and Recreation Department's Pools - Pool Filter Operator. We need two (2) individuals to start working the beginning of May prepping the pools (that schedule will be 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Then the Pool Season is from June 6 - August 16.(see the hours for the pool season below). When the pool season is complete, these individuals will have the opportunity to transfer to the Parks and Recreations Department as Parks and Recreation Maintenance Laborers with that position's schedule and finishing the season (normally until mid-November). The hours after August's end of pool season would be 7:00 - 3:30 p.m.
There are the following positions available:
Tuesday - Saturday - 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (2)
This is manual and some semi-skilled, seasonal work involving the cleaning, maintenance, and operations of public swimming pools and support facilities. Work is performed under the general guidance of a designated supervisor. Specialized training in water quality maintenance, equipment, and safety is provided
DAYS/HOURS:
Tuesday - Saturday - 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m
Floater - work wherever needed each day
PAY: $15.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate pool filtration equipment monitoring water quality by pre-determined health standards.
2. Inspect waterslides, diving boards, pool basins and related amenities to ensure public users safety.
3. Routine cleaning of locker rooms, showers, restrooms, and other pool areas
4. Maintain necessary logs and recordkeeping as required for water quality and safety
5. Some limited supervision of other seasonal laborers may be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to read and follow fairly complex written instructions
2. Ability to work independently with limited supervision
3. Ability to perform heavy manual work, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting heavy objects
4. Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and properly present information to the general public
COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES:
1. Specialized training in water quality maintenance, equipment use and safety is provided
OTHER NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 18 years old
2. Must possess a valid MI driver’s license
3. Ability to pass background check and drug screen
4. Must possess high school diploma or GED
5. Employees may be scheduled to work weekend days (depending on site assignments)
