The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a Dual Trained Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist/Intensivist to join our cohesive, dynamic group. The position is a full-time, academic, multidisciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education.

CASEWORK AND SCHEDULE:
· The Heart and Vascular Center at Henry Ford Health is an award-winning and highly recognized site by the AHA.
· Surgical case types include: CABG, valve surgery, aortic surgery and full service heart failure including VAD, heart/lung transplant and MCS support. In addition, our team supports the internationally recognized structural heart program, including: TAVR, MitraClip, TMVR, Tricuspid valve clips/valve sand Watchman/Amulet devices.
· Our intensivists lead an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner team in our 36 bed, closed cardiovascular intensive care unit managing the breath of critical cardiac conditions.
Job Requirements:
· BC/BE in Anesthesiology
· A critical care anesthesiology fellowship is required
· A cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship is required
· Advance Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiograph certification through the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) is required.
· Ability to sit for the ABA Subspeciality Certification in Critical Care Medicine and Cardiac Anesthesiology is required
· Additional advanced training or experience beyond fellowship is welcome but not required
· Eligible for Michigan licensure
· Research experience and interests are preferred but not required
