The finance analyst needed in support of Product & Design cost reduction efforts across all global vehicle programs and functional areas.
This is an agile cross-functional, cross-vehicle line position with exposure to current vehicles, forward model programs, and functional engineering teams. Overall, the team has a goal to support significant cost reduction across the company over the business plan period, including ~$1.1B in 2025CY. The team supports operating Director of Product Cost as well as PD Programs & Supply Chain Finance.
This specific position will be assigned a vehicle area to support SUVs along with other ad-hoc projects and assignments based on capacity.
What you'll do...
Support assigned vehicle teams with cost reduction idea generation, analysis (TARR/IRR), and cost savings tracking in our Qlik Dashboard & Alteryx idea report
Attend cost-related meetings throughout each week and formal, in-person reviews 3x/month with senior leadership
Automate & standardize cost reporting tools and reports to help operating partners save time and focus on what matters most
Connect with PD Program counterparts to ensure future vehicle programs stay aligned with pending cost reduction actions
Work with global Finance partners managing cost reduction ideas in CRID (tracking system) to ensure they are audited on time, implemented as soon as possible, and accounted for properly
Assist with monthly forecast variances & ad-hoc cost-related projects as needed and available
You'll have...
1+ years of experience
Bachelors Degree
Open to graduating CFP or other GSRs interested in position
Agility and flexibility important - work tends to adjust quickly based on the needs and focus of senior leadership with regards to cost management
In-person support in the team rooms at PDC is typical (and operating partners find it valuable) ~2-3 days per week; formal Cost reviews 3x/month
Strong business partnering skills preferred - requires daily interaction with cross-functional teams
