General Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for assisting in the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll function for the company. In addition, the Accountant will assist the VP of Finance in maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through assisting in the preparation of the company’s reports and statements.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Assist in the completion of all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Assist the VP Finance in preparing quarterly reports and quarterly internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing accounting information from QuickBooks Premier Plus Manufacturing software.
- Prepare journal entries and subsequent GL posting.
- Complete Bank Account Reconciliations each month.
- Cost accounting background – some experience with standard costing and development of labor and absorption standard costing.
- Experience with Job Analysis and profitability review.
- Strong interest in IT, this person will help with IT tasks and plans.
- Recommend and implement ways to reduce costs and improve overall profitability.
- Prepare yearly documentation for the company’s external auditors.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: This job operates in a manufacturing / factory setting as well as a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, & electronic files.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time in-person position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, but small amounts of overtime may be necessary as workload dictates.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or business required. Candidates having or currently pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be strongly preferred.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and accounting primarily in a manufacturing environment using QuickBooks Premier Plus Manufacturing software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Schedule: This team values work-life balance
- Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Friday 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
