Primarily Day shift, Monday - Friday
Timber Products Company is seeking an experienced lathe operator to join our Hardwood Veneer and Lumber Division in Munising, Michigan. The position will be responsible for set-up and operation of an eight (8) foot rotary lathe used to peel hardwood logs; installing and maintaining lathe knives; performing scheduled minor and major maintenance tasks; selecting and installing proper gear set(s) to achieve specified veneer thicknesses; and conducting quality assurance tests to verify equipment performance and product quality standards. The ideal candidate will have three (3) to five (5) years’ experience operating a rotary hardwood veneer lathe in an industrial manufacturing environment.
