Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician will play a crucial role in managing electrical installations, supervising crew members, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes. This leadership role involves coordinating work tasks, overseeing safety, and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality on the job site.

Essential Skills
5+ years of experience installing or servicing fire alarm systems (low voltage experience).
Experience as a Lead or Foreman.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, MEP drawings, architectural plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC) - Electrical Code.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience quoting jobs for Fire Alarm System installations.
State of Michigan - Journeyman Electrical License.
Experience in fire alarm system service, alarm installation, wiring, installation, repair, hand tools, construction, power tools, troubleshooting, and pulling wire.

Work Environment
1st Shift - 6/8am Start - 2/4pm End, with 0-5 hours of overtime per week. You may bring your own hand tools, and power tools/electrical testing equipment will be provided in the shop. Work includes new installations and service work for fire alarms in commercial or industrial new construction settings throughout the Grand Rapids and West Michigan area. You will work with a crew on a day-to-day basis and may train employees, coordinate jobs on-site, or help to quote new work for projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
