Per Diem Housekeeper

Location | Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Environmental Services 

Hours per week: Varies based on department needs

Schedule: Shifts Vary 1st & 2nd 

Overview: 

The Housekeeper performs general cleaning to assure that our community is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. 

What you’ll do

• Complete daily housekeeping functions assigned.
• Cleans residents’ rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
• Ensures that cleaning schedules are maintained.
• Uses high standards for cleanliness and universal precautions.
• Create cleaning schedules directly with the independent residents.
• Communicate and troubleshoot issues directly with the independent residents.

What it takes

• Previous experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a long-term care facility or medical environment preferred
• Must possess knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of computers preferred
