Job Title: Dispatcher - Courier Services
Department: Lab Couriers
Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital
Hours: 40 hours a week
Shift: 10:00pm-6:30am
Minimum rate of pay: $ 15.00
Under the direction of the department Manager or delegate, the Lab Courier Dispatcher coordinates routes, assigning tasks to drivers, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. The dispatcher must exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
Provides direction to transporters, including assignment of duties to best meet the need of the patient
Answers telephone request of departmental services.
Prioritizes departmental response based on the nature of the request and demand. Prepares requisitions for transport of medical supplies, hospital equipment or rental equipment.
Records activity on forms as required by the department.
Enters charges or credits for supplies and services as required.
Should be familiar with CSPD Powerchart screens.
Receive orders for specialty beds, take information from rental bed orders and complete required paperwork for tracking, requires much attention to detail
Properly tag and distribute and clean CSPD equipment as required
Set up and take down traction on patient beds
Complete cycle count activity and expiration review of product monthly.
Responsible for obtaining emergency medical supplies from the Materials Center Building during evenings and weekends.
Monitors pneumatic tube system, and reports and malfunctions to the Engineering Department.
Provides traction service to nursing units as ordered.
