Special Education/General Education Classroom Aide
HOURS: Monday-Thursday
AM – Daycare setting, PM- GSRP Classroom
Possibility of additional hours on Friday
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

SUMMARY: Assist the teacher in developing the skills of the students; help pupils who may be having difficulty in understanding or keeping up with the class; perform such tasks as making copies, preparing teaching materials, preparing and serving lunch/beverages, etc. as described in their Individual Education Plan.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with early childhood/preschool children, particularly with at-risk children
- Work effectively, make decisions, and problem solve collaboratively within a team
- Work well with diverse families and engage parents as full partners in their child’s learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and teachers
- Spanish speaking ability
Required Responsibilities:
- Follow the daily schedule as outlined in the curriculum and GSRP guidelines
- Must have demonstrated ability to speak, understand, read and write in English fluently
- Monitor behavior and support the educational process in the classroom
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY: $14.00-$16.50/hourly rate, depending on education and experience $1.00/hr increase after 30 days of successful employment
