The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our team on 1st shift.
The Electronics Technician is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and servicing electronic control systems and components for engine test cells and electrical accessories for R&D test and production engines and associated accessories.
Additional responsibilities include:

- Assembles, maintains and repairs test cell electrical components, fixtures, wiring systems, control panels, and electrical engine accessories.
- Perform assembly and fabrication of engine test cell electronic components, fixtures, and wiring systems.
- Assemble and fabricate production engine wiring harnesses and other electrical engine accessories. Instructions may range from verbal and simple diagrams to detailed process planning.
- Maintain and repair miscellaneous electrical/electronic plant, production, and testing systems.
- Document completed tasks, changes, modifications, and as-built drawings of electrical systems and assemblies of work performed.
- Participates in investigation of field failure of electronic equipment or components.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in mechanic, electrical/electronic technology.
- 2-5 years of electronic system experience is required; including:
- Operation of basic electronic test equipment
- Assembly of electrical/controls enclosures
- Fabrication of electrical wiring harnesses
- Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Basic soldering skills (J-STD preferred)
- Knowledge of aerospace connectors and components is desirable
- Experience in strain gauges and accelerometers a plus
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum). The individual will work throughout the plant facility and will be exposed to a very small usage of electronics cleaners, such as alcohol and other items associated with lead-based soldering (both are very minor amounts of exposure).

- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
